Pitching is a craft. This means that it can be learned by practicing. A lot of the most impactfull tips are quite simple yet very hard to implement when you are actually pitching. A great example of this is the tip I give most to the people I coach:

“You are allowed to smile.”

And in the online world I’ve added:

“Look into the camera,
That is where your adience lives.”

Both very simple staight forward tips. However o so hard to do when your mind is occupied with delivering great content. Now I’ve found a cool simple tool to help you think of both these tips even when I’m not there to remind you:

  • Get a post it note

  • Punch a camera sized hole in it

  • Incorperate the hole in a smily

  • Put it around your lens.

This will really help you to look into the camera instead of at the screen (where you see your audince). You can use this immediately and will be amazed by its impact.
